THE WASHINGTON POSTS -
The Smithsonian Institute holds a little festival called "FOLKLIFE "
. Over a million people visit. In 2006, the
province of Alberta, Canada was invited to showcase all of her
hidden mysteries and wonders.
Improvisation was an obvious choice
for a cultural offering considering
Keith Johnstone's work in Calgary and the ongoing creations of
Calgary's Loose Moose and Edmonton's Rapid Fire Theatre.
Four improvisers :
Shawn Kinley,
Jackie Fries,
Mark Meers,
Julian Faid
perform for two weeks
for the Americans. The following is the diary that Shawn
was invited to create for the Alberta government.
