HOW LONG:

5 days

WHO was Involved: La Gata, Columbia - Blot til Lyst, Denmark -
Die Gorillas - Germany -   Loose Moose Theatre, Canada
       Stockholm Improvisationsteater, Sweden -
  Teatersport Oslo, Norway
IN BRIEF:

The festival began locally  with 12 amateur teams from Oslo playing theatresports. During the main part of the festival the days began with workshops lead by various groups followed by evening shows.  Each group  played their 'specialty' in 45 min. shows. Two groups performed each night.

Advanced workshop and shared workshops happened Saturday followed by a forum discussion on Improvisation.  Performances ended Saturday with all groups involved in a Micetro presentation.  Final workshops ended for advanced Scandanavian Improvisers on Sunday.

HI-LIGHTS and brief notes

Well... It was quite a week.
Things began slowly with small crowds - something the festival will have to address in future gatherings. The momentum however carried everybody into the weekend.

Loose Moose returned after a 5 year absence from international performances and by all accounts had a strong impact on the standing room only audience Friday night.

The Columbians charmed the audience with their physicality and positive energy.  All groups except the Moose and Oslo Teatersport focused on "long forms".

A social hi-light was the Friday night after show performance party hosted by the Canadians.  The free Beer and "snowflake" making continued into the wee hours.  Derek, Rob and Ragnhild were cleaning up the second oldest building in Oslo at 6 AM...

And what will most people remember?  There's a good chance that Erik the  Swedish winner of Micetro will be most remembered for his world record 6 point scene... out of a total of FIVE points... Physicists still can't figure that one out.  "I WANT TO BE A FARMER!"
